Hello all! I could really use some input and advice from people who know what they’re talking about. I was born, raised and educated in a European country and I moved to the US in my mid 20s, just a few years ago. I finished high school and went to college in my home country, but I never finished because I knew I was moving to the US and I could never use my degree here (a mistake, I know, but I was too young and too much in love). Anyway, now I would like to get a degree here, but it’s all so very confusing to me! Here are my questions:
1. I have my college transcripts and I know I can use them for some credits. I need to have them translated, but do they need to be notarized or something like that? I’m asking because a certified translator would charge a pretty staggering amount for all my paperwork.
2. I’ve been looking into requirements and a lot of them are all about previous scores, SAT, GED, ELA and other stuff I’m not even remotely familiar with. I can’t pull those out of my behind, so how do I get an equivalent?
I filled out quite a few of those online applications for universities to contact me, but they all gave me some sort of sales-pitch and no real answers.
I would greatly appreciate any help with these matters. Thank you in advance!
I had an interview with a human resources rep at the richmond, virginia hub on Wednesday and when I went online to see if there were any new appointments scheduled, I found a new section of the application that I didn’t notice before; it has the tax form, honesty of employment, higher education end dates, safety agreement, and drug/alcohol policy that is supposed to be completed before my next appointment, which isn’t scheduled. I’ve not heard from anyone at UPS telling me I got the job, and I can’t get to the web page where I can make an appointment anymore. What does this mean? Why won’t it let me schedule another appointment?
The lady who interviewed me said that the background check would take a couple weeks. Why do I have all of these policy and employment agreements if the background check hasn’t even been conducted yet? Or maybe it has been? Why can’t they take 30 seconds to call and say thanks but no thanks if that’s the case?
I sent out a thank you note the very next day to the person who interviewed me. It’s been only 5 days until they said they’d call but should I call them before that?
i dont know what will convince her. any ideas? if your homeschooled, what made your parents decide to let you do it?

i seriously cant take this school anymore.
i feel like im learning nothing and i hate my teachers this year.
it stresses me out and i cant focus.
if you look on the website, it says its the number one homeschooling company and accepted by any college.
plus it said it makes you stand out more in college.
its not just for people who want the easy way out either. its a real education and so many people do it and still go to college just as if they were in a public school.
and it goes at your own pace which i need cause i feel like im getting rushed in school and if i miss something, it just keeps going and then i fall so behind and they dont help me.. just make things worse and more stressful.
so if i do this, i can get even more credits for college and take classes that i actually want without all the crap of sitting in school and being miserable.
i feel like i just go to school and sit through it because i have to and dont learn anything.
im just there because its something i have to do.
the program like focuses on you individually and i think its a lot better. so many people online do it and they say that their parents would never send them to another public school again because keystone is a better education for them
id learn more through this than in school cause i have no desire to be there and im so lost and have no clue what im doing. with this, i can just start fresh and learn it all over again.
but i still have all my credits from the past years transferred so i dont lose anything.
i can tell im just gonna do worse as the year goes cause and i cant stand it.
pleaseee. i need something different i dont wanna keep doing this. its torture and so many people do the keystone thing. i dont get why i have to suffer trough the fluff and crap of school when people are getting the same education and enjoying their life more.
plus you dont even have to teach me. so its not like you have to give up your life or whatever. its all online and they send you books and there is live teacher help with real teachers online everyday to help you.
but your still in control of everything that goes on with it.
i seriously cant take it anymore. im feel like im gonna explode.
