Must High School…this Is A Huge Scam, Right?

i am a certified teacher in the state of maryland looking at online schools for a family friend, and i honestly feel that this is a scam but wanted your opinions.
1) it says it’s approved by the “international accreditation organization,” but when i check the u.s. dept of ed list of approved accreditors it’s not there.
2). when i call the IAO or global education services (their billing people) i get the same voicemail (sketchy).
3) every question on this site about must high school is answered by someone who, despite the different usernames, i believe to be the same person due to the fact that a) none of them have bothered to create avatars (most h.s. students would) b) the writing style and grammar usage is identical regardless of the different poster names (i taught english for 4 years before becoming a spanish teacher).
4) i cannot find an actual mailing address for the school.
soooo red flags are up all over. but please, share your experiences (no, not you, must school spy–just real students who have enrolled please).

Should I Give Up On High School For My Son With Asperger’s?

My 16 year old son just had the school year end for 10th grade. He is a very intelligent boy, but like most Aspies, is very obsessed with just his interest, which in his case is digital art. He was in regular classes for four academic subjects. Things were looking good for the end of the year. I thought he did a great job on his timeline, which was taking the place of final exam in History, and I also thought he’d pull through in Algebra.
Unfortunately he failed both. I just got the grades online last night. I have searched the school and district websites to find information on summer school and found nothing. I heard they had cut summer school due to budget cuts this year. Anyway, he needs extra help for the school day from special ed so I’m not sure they’d accept him in summer school classes anyway.
I would have been more help to him with his homework but he was very artful about avoiding it, or telling me it was done when it wasn’t and even was clever enough to circumvent all of the systems I had in place with his special education teacher to get his work done. A complication is, the special education teacher got an “involuntary transfer” to another school, so by the last quarter, she was pretty much phoning it in and not doing any work. She didn’t even schedule his IEP this Spring.
My husband wants him to “build character” by repeating the courses. I’m trying to find a way to not have him go through that humiliation. My ideas are a) have him study for his GED — even if it takes the next 2 years — and get it; b) have him homeschool through k12.com. I’m not really up to being both teacher and mom to him, but I’ll do it to avoid the disappointment of his school experience again.
PARENTS OF MILDLY LEARNING DISABLED, ADHD, ASPERGER’S, HIGH FUNCTIONING AUTISM KIDS ONLY (because if it was one of my neuro-typical kids, I would make them repeat the classes. But it will NEVER happen with them anyway because they like school and are in gifted classes.)
What do you think?

Business Course Online. Do Employers Accept It In Saudi Arabia?

I’m a junior (third year) student at college. I am studying English. In preparation for the job market, i am planning to take an ONLINE introduction course to business and maybe some more courses from a VERY well-known university in the US.
My questions:
1- Will it be useful when i apply for a job? especially when i get a certificate from an accredited and known-for-its-good-education school.
2- Do employers in [[Saudi Arabia]] accept this kind of certificates (Distance Learning)? (baring in mind the high ranking of the university)
3- Any suggestions or advice?

Sorry it’s long.
Thank you in advance :)

Can I Sue My High School?

I transferred over to my current school in the second semester of Freshman year. The transition was from a Catholic school with a period system, which means there are eight 45 minute classes a day to a block schedule, which was four 80 minute classes a day. Before I transferred in, the principal and guidance counselors assured me that transferring my credits over would be no problem. I am a straight A honors student, and am now also attending a post-secondary program at my local community college, earning both high school and college credits for the classes I take there. I am now in my first quarter of junior year, and they still do not have my credits in the system, making me, technically, a sophomore still. I am now being told that I may not graduate on time because they are having problems switching over the credits. They offered me apologies, but no solutions. I was also having problems with counselors putting me in wrong classes, or giving me less classes than I needed, and now I am behind, when I was assured that everything was under control. I also am having difficulties with my math teacher grading my homework. She will collect it from me, not put the score in her grade book, and then claim I never turned the work in. I have had to purchase a scanner/copy machine in order to correct this and prove that I have done my work. I decided to consult my post-secondary principal at my community college for help with all the difficulties I am facing at my high school, and he contacted them and pointed out all of the issues. Now my high school teachers are extremely rude towards me, and I find it almost impossible to manage going into the school without some sort of trouble from my teachers. I have missed many days of school and have thought about doing online school, but I’m worried that may look bad to colleges. I have no other options to transfer schools, unless I go back to a private school, which is extremely costly, or to actually move out of my city. Do I have any sort of case with this school, or the board of education? I am not looking for any monetary compensation, just fair treatment and graduating on time.
